VISION, MISSION, AND VALUES

Our Mission

Project Vote 263 is a non profit and non partisan organisation, a youth led initiative that was founded to foster and promote inclusive participatory, multiparty democracy and constitutionalism through mobilizing young people to register to vote, conduct civic and voter education as well as advocating for electoral reforma 

Our Vision

To create an informed and organised citizenry which accurately represent the diversity of the Zimbabwean population and to be the leading voice on democracy, governance and constitutionalism

Shared Values

  • All activities carried out in the name of Project Vote 263 by any of its members shall respect and promote:
  1. Fundamental values of the Zimbabwean Constitution
  2. Non-discrimination
  3. Peace and non-violence.
  4. Transparency, Ubuntu, Impartiality and Faimess.
  5. Consultative, Integrity, Teamwork and Accountability
  6. To promote gender equality

 

  • Any person who benefits from activities carried out in the name of Project Vote 263 is requested to respect these values.
  • Project Vote 263 is based on the belief that these values are universal and that their origin cannot be claimed by any culture or society.

BENEFICIARIES

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide a platform for Zimbabwean citizens to air their concerns pertaining to voting rights to the Zimbabwean government
  • To assist Zimbabwean citizens especially the youth and virgin voters to register to vote through provision of Information and transport to registration centers
  • To facilitate the acquisition of documentation which enables people to vote through provision of transport and information to Zimbabweans
  • To carry out civic and voter education exercise using various platforms targeting Zimbabweans home and abroad
  • To assist in the transportation of Zimbabweans in the diaspora especially SADC who want to register to vote and during voting time

MEMBERSHIP

  • Project Vote 263 membership shall be open to all young people and students and those that support the values and Objectives of Project Vote 263 as stated in this constitution.
  • Membership shall be granted upon completing a membership form and subject to meeting the selection criteria.
  • Project Vote 263 reserves the right to accept or reject any application for membership.

Project Voter 263 (PV263) STRUCTURES

The Board of Advisors

  • PV263 shall have a Board of Advisors composed of a minimum of five (5) and not more than seven (7) people. Their rolls shall be:
  1. Advice on good ethics and practices which build a good image of the association
  2. Impart skills and knowledge to the Secretariat on issues relating to the mission and vision of the association
  3. Link the association with other organizations, institutions and groups of Individuals who share the same vision and promote Project Vote 263 objectives.
  4. Advice on financial management, auditing, accounting and investment projects
  5. Any other duties as may be required to fulfill organizational objectives The Board Term of office is three years and may run for two terms as guided by PV263 Board of Directors/ Trustee or Founders.
  6. The Board of Advisors shall elect/appoint members for the positions of Board Chairperson and the Board Secretary, Board Treasurer and Committee members

Secretariat

  • Project Vote 263 reserves the right to accept or reject any application for membership.
  1. The institution will have a full-time Secretariat led by Executive Director which shall be responsible for Project Vote 263 programming, partner engagement and program implementation. The secretariat shall report to the board on the progress and/or lack of it in the implementation of the goals set by the sesecretariat. The executive director will be responsible for the team that will constitute the secretariat. He or she is responsible for making sure that every employee works towards the vision of Project Vote 263 as well as maintaining discipline and coherence within the team.
  2. The Secretariat shall be the main program implementation body for Project Vote 263
  3. The Secretariat shall be composed of such officials as stipulated under this Constitution or as may be determined from time to time by the organization strategy or other policies.
  4. The full duties and responsibility of the office bearers shall be specified in the Human Resource Manual and other policies of Project Vote 263
